  • 34 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 23 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 810 cranks freshly-ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and garlic. Cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking the meat into small pieces until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Return broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine.
